My name is Mark Shatsky.  I am a board certified family physician with expertise in diagnosing and treating a broad range of medical issues common to people of all ages.  I specialize in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal problems particularly as these problems relate to neurophysiologic function.

My patient-centered practice is dedicated to helping people realize their best physical health.  I have found that by listening to you and objectively evaluating your medical health--spending the time necessary to attend to your unique health issues--I can provide excellent individualized care that is evidence-based and with a minimal risk of treatment.  Your input and your commitment to your own healthcare are vital to successful treatment.

I believe that the 15-minute doctor’s visit is inadequate.  I also believe that the need for treatment, as well as the type and duration of treatment, must not be determined by an insurance company but by a qualified doctor who cares about your well-being.  The amount of time that I spend with you is not proscribed by a managed care company, and the proper diagnoses and treatments are not influenced by plan administrators.  So that I can devote more of my time and resources to your care I work on a fee-for-service basis.  I will, of course, provide you with the information that you need to submit to your insurer.
